After moving from Kansas and Missouri, Judy has lived in or near St. Petersburg, Florida, since 1982. Following a long-time interest in art, she studied watercolor with Denise Augustine from 2005 to 2009, went to night classes and workshops at Morean Arts Center, and attended various other workshops and classes near St. Petersburg.
Since 2009, Judy has studied under Judi Dazzio learning the arts in oil, pastels, gauche, and acrylics. Of special value in Dazzio’s teaching is an appreciation of the ways of the Old Masters.
Judy Weitekamp has exhibited art in over 20 group shows around St. Petersburg. She promoted ISAP-FL in different positions on the board for six years and is a signature member of ISAP-FL by being accepted into three juried competitions.
